Chara 2015 ranks as the best white wine
at the 2016 Vinitaly 5 Star Wines Award
Being aware of the great potential of the Di Lorenzo family farm located in the area of Grisì/Monreale near Palermo, we were used – and somehow addicted – to the outstanding performance of Feudo Disisa extra virgin olive oil, a product that has always been among the best ones in Italy. More recently, a re-organization of the family farm winemaking processes – carried out with the support of oenologist Tonino Guzzo – has allowed renewing the wines, and prizes have not been long in coming. A gratifying surprise came out during Vinitaly 2016, when Chara 2015, a blend of Catarratto and Inzolia, obtained the 5 Star Wines award as the contest’s best white wine.
